This was my first time having dinner at this restaurant, and they exceeded my expectations by mile.
One of the things I like about this restaurant is how big the food portions they serve are, one plate of anything you order here is enough to fill an adult.
Everything I had was delicious which was beef tips and rice, okra, and green beans – plus the employees were very nice and professional
They operate here like a cafeteria, on Tuesdays, they have tasty beef tips, and on Sundays, they serve tender roast beef, and they also have chicken and dressing.
If you want to make your tummy happy, you should give the Home Plate Diner a try.

2. Uncle Sam’s BBQ
The prices are great, the service is good, and the atmosphere feels friendly and old-fashioned.
Whenever I visit this place I prefer eating inside rather than getting takeout. It’s just a really great place overall!
Best barbecue I’ve had out of all the barbecue restaurants in Hueytiwn I’ve been to so far, and best flavor for baked beans.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give this restaurant a 9 because the portion sizes were big, the prices were good, and that loaded baked potato was amazing!
I usually like ribs the most, and theirs were so good, they tasted as if it was homemade.
I got the weekend special with 2 ribs, half a white chicken, and a loaded potato for about $12.00.
Because of how good this place is, It’s always busy, so it’s a good idea to call in your order before you go to avoid wasting time.
Once you call, don’t use the drive-thru, instead, find a parking spot for call-in orders and wait at the restaurant’s door.
Someone will come take your payment and bring your food.

We really enjoy going to the Waffle House whenever we are in the area! It’s always clean, and the staff is always friendly, they also have quick food service!!
During my visit, I had an Angus bacon cheeseburger and my girlfriend had a breakfast of sausage, eggs, grits, and a waffle.
The food was delicious, so we had to take some of it home because we couldn’t finish it all, we definitely plan on going back again.

What’s not to love? This chicken is out of this world, the home taste is next to none.
I love KFC & Popeye’s Chicken, but you can only eat so much, I can eat Jack’s Chicken every day.
It’s incredibly moist and tender, with a flavorful and crunchy skin
And let me tell you, their biscuits are to die for! I love them, especially the chicken breakfast biscuit, it is very scrumptious.
I ordered the Chicken Tender dinner, which came with two sides: fries and mashed potatoes.
They also have hand-spun milkshakes made with Mayfield ice cream, and I had the strawberry flavor.
If you haven’t been to Jack’s recently or have had a bad experience at Jack’s in another location, I recommend going back and giving them another try.

5. The Purple Onion
I decided to try the gyro plate at The Purple Onion and served me a generous amount of well-seasoned meat.
The plate included rice pilaf, a salad, pita wedges and the sauce that came with it was a good addition.
We also tried the Philly Baker, Philly sub with fries, and chicken fingers, and they tasted amazing, I have no complaints.
Something that surprised me about this is how quickly you can get your orders, it took less than 10 minutes to get our order even though they were really busy.

6. Shrimp & Company
This was my first time dining at Shrimp & Company, and I was amazed by how much food they served.
Everything was hot and delicious, clams were chewy, but not tough.
The shrimp was hot and had just the right amount of breading, plus the fried crab claws were delicious and perfectly cooked.
We even tried hushpuppies, and they were bite-sized and came with honey butter, which made them even more delicious.
Overall, it was a great first experience, and I can’t wait to go back.
The restaurant itself is not that big, but very clean and well-organized.
As soon as we arrived in the parking lot, the staff was welcoming and super friendly.
I will be returning, the food and service at this restaurant are too good to ignore

I’ve been to D’s Tamales To Go many times, and I’ve never had a bad experience.
Their wings are AMAZING.
I got the boneless wings, & they weren’t soggy like most places; they were high-quality chicken, not chewy or full of gristle, If the boneless wings are this good, I can only imagine how good the bones in the wings are.
Service was fast and kind, and it’s not often you come across a place like this. I will be back here.
Not only are the combo prices at D’s Tamales To Go much cheaper compared to places like BWW or Baumhower’s, but the quality of their wings is also better, and their sauces are amazing

Few days ago I decided to order the chicken quesadilla and Sweet fries for the first time.
Omg, this is the best chicken quesadilla I ever had in a very long time, plus the customer service was very fast.
I can’t wait to get the chicken quesadilla with sweet potatoes fries again. ????
I also ordered the chicken sandwich and white thunder pizza, and both were very good.
I’ll say the chicken sandwich will be my go to when craving a delicious chicken sandwich.
I will be back to try other menu items.

Gus’s Hot Dogs has been a favorite place for locals in Hueytown to grab lunch with family.
Everything on the menu is tasty, but the Gus dog stands out, it is just amazing.
The only thing that would make it even better is if they had longer hours and options for outdoor seating.
The seating inside the restaurant is very limited, so be prepared to wait or, like we do, take your food to the parking lot and enjoy it on your tailgate
The hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, chips, tea, and lemonade are all so good, that I can’t wait to try other items on their menu.
After spending $200 here, I have no complaints because everything was super fresh and of great quality.
Don’t be discouraged if there is a line; it’s worth every penny.

Without a doubt, Los Reyes is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Hueytown.
I’ve been coming here for about a while now, and I’ve never had a reason to complain.
Their spicy sauce, which I sometimes mix with salsa, is incredibly tasty.
The chicken soup they serve is amazing too, the poncho dip may not be the healthiest option, but it’s absolutely delicious.
The service is always great, and you’ll often see the owner around, which adds a nice personal touch to the experience.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely go back.
They have a wide variety of options on their lunch menu you choose from.
